The Illinois Cup was back in action last weekend at Cobb Park, one of the longest running races in the area–put on by South Chicago Wheelman. With many making the trek to Joe Martin, and some opting to go north of the Cheddar Curtain for a road race, fields were somewhat modest. The Women’s 1/2 was forced to start with the Men’s Cat 3 in light of the fact that only 2 women showed up. So Props to Trevy Ramos and Ramona Kuna for pinning on a number. Hopefully this is an anomaly this season! The rain held for almost the entire day, waiting until the middle of the P/1/2 race before opening up, making for some fun and wet racing (and hopefully some wicked pictures). Racing travels to Champaign next weekend for the Tour de Champaign-Urbana, are you registered yet
