Fox River Grove 2012

Firstly, apologize to everyone that this post wasn’t finished last week. Been hectic for VeloPost. Remember that part where I gave credit to Luke Seeman?

At any rate, PSIMET’s Fox River Grove Criterium went off without a hitch this year. This is a “love it or hate it” course in that if you show up, you love to hate it. If you don’t show up, you just hate it (and don’t know what you’re missing out on). The race is an opportunity for the smaller guys to get some love climbing some 100+ feet in just .2mi each lap.

There were some impressive rides out there too. Will Pankonin showed that training in the mountains has been worth it with an awesome ride in the master’s race. Jeannie Kuhajek got one back from Jessica Prinner (having lost to her the previous day) and her teammate Kim Gialdini cleaned up for 3rd, providing an impressive PSIMET show at their own race. Jostein Alvestad won the 3′s race, and then later got a top 10 in the P/1/2 race. And props to Neal McNamara for winning both Cat 5 races.
